Every successful author has a brand, even if they haven't intentionally created one. Your author brand is more than a logo or color palette. It's the story readers tell about you after they close your book.

Whether you're preparing to publish your first manuscript or you're looking to strengthen your existing platform, this four-week workshop will help you define your identity as an author and create a brand that attracts readers, speaking opportunities, media attention, and long-term career growth.

Over four weeks, participants will complete a series of exercises that culminate in their own Author Brand Blueprint.

Week 1: Discover Your Author Identity

·  Defining your mission, values, and voice

·  Who are your ideal readers?

·  What makes your work uniquely yours?

Week 2: Craft Your Author Story

·  Writing a compelling author bio

·  Developing your brand message

·  Telling your personal story without oversharing

Week 3: Create a Consistent Brand

·  Visual identity basics

·  Website essentials (and website platforms to choose from)

·  Brand consistency across books, newsletters, and events

Week 4: Build a Long-Term Career

·  Thinking beyond your first book

·  Speaking, bookstore events, school visits, and partnerships

·  Creating an actionable one-year brand plan

Participants will leave with:

·  A polished author mission statement

·  Brand messaging

·  Updated author bio

·  Reader profile

·  Personal Brand Blueprint

·  A roadmap for growing their writing career

The way it works: Zoom links will be sent to writers prior to each session. Participants will share work electronically. Participants should be familiar with Zoom and willing to read their work aloud during the session.

Please Note: WWA highly recommends that participants have a computer and reliable access to the internet. It is nearly impossible to participate in the sessions using only a smartphone. Having a rudimentary understanding of Word and Zoom is also recommended.

Member Fee: $150 for all four sessions! Space is limited to a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 16 participants
