Ingrid Andersson’s debut collection, Jordemoder: Poems of a Midwife (Holy Cow! Press, 2022) was short-listed as best book of poetry by the Wisconsin Library Association and won 2nd place in the WWA Edna Meudt poetry book award. Andersson’s poems have been twice nominated for a Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net, and her writing has appeared in About Place Journal, ArsMedica, Conduit, Intima: Journal of Narrative Medicine, Literary Mama, Midwest Review, Plant-Human Quarterly, the Progressive Magazine, Wisconsin People & Ideas Magazine, and elsewhere. Andersson practices as a home birth nurse midwife and lives in Madison with her husband, dog, chickens and bees.
