Master Class

For $30, you can attend a 75-minute workshop with the talented and charming Ann Garvin. With a class limit of 30 students, you’ll be able to get an intimate space to learn from Ann about the craft of writing, specifically focused on PLOT.

Items of Note:

  • This class has been filled. No more spots are available.

  • This class takes place during the vendor fair on Saturday, so please do not register if you are planning to be a vendor.

Agent Pitches

For $20, you can register to pitch your completed manuscript 1:1 with one of our fabulous agents!

You’ll have 8 minutes to sit down with an agent and show them why they should absolutely sign you as their newest client.

Items of note:

  • Your session will be scheduled for you, and you’ll find out that time when you arrive on Friday

  • If you register for the Ann Garvin master class, your pitch will NOT be scheduled during that time

  • Please be aware that pitches WILL be scheduled during other activities – so you may need to miss part of a breakout session, etc.

These sessions will go fast, so register for the conference today to reserve your spot!

More about our agents:

Author Tables

The Author Fair is BACK!

This year, you can sign up to have either a full or half a table to sell your books at our fall conference.

Items of Note:

  • The author fair has LIMITED space. We will use every space available to us at the venue, however, the slots we have opened will put us at our max. Please know we are doing our best to be as inclusive as possible.

  • The author fair will only be open for TWO HOURS on Saturday. This will run concurrently with the Ann Garvin Master Class. We offer this shortened time period so attendees can still attend sessions and we won’t have an empty ballroom while others are learning, and we won’t have authors worried about leaving their merchandise unattended.

  • You are responsible for your own payments/money/etc.

Practice Pitches

Sign up to practice your pitch with an experienced writer!

We have 2 remaining spots available for those of you who would like to practice your pitch the day BEFORE you pitch your agent – or even if you aren’t pitching at our conference.

Items of Note:

  • You’ll have 10 minutes to deliver your pitch and get 1:1 feedback from a fantastic WWA member.

  • These pitches will be scheduled for you

  • The pitches will take place on Friday afternoon, so you may need to miss a short time of a breakout session.

  • Spots are limited!

Manuscript Critiques

For $35, you can receive a 1:1 consultation and paid evaluation of any 20 pages of a manuscript/query letter/back cover blurb with Lisa Lickel.

Items of Note:

  • Limited to 4 remaining spots

  • Material must be emailed directly to by September 15th, 2024. Please put “WWA Conference Critique” in the subject line.

  • The 20 pages can be ANY combination of material

  • The in-person consultation will be scheduled for you.

  • You may miss 15 minutes of a scheduled activity or class.
