Bio
For five decades, as a lifelong environmentalist and internationally-awarded artist, I have sculpted and painted human, plant, and animal forms to express my hope that decisions be made to support life and social justice. My sculptures are collected and exhibited by the Smithsonian Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art, and John D. McArthur in the John D. MacArthur State As a nationally-awarded writer, with degrees in Environmental Journalism and Art and an MFA from Yale University, I express stories about my love of nature. Encouraging public eco-art to be a part of everyday life, I serve on boards with Ragdale Foundation, Oak Park Public Art Advisory Commission, Oak Park Art League, and Yale University Blue Green. My husband and I live next to Chicago where I sculpt, write, and paint in my studio.
