Bio
I was born in Wisconsin Rapids and lived in Adams County, Wisconsin the first five years of my life. Out of my experiences from my boyhood there and in Lodi, Wisconsin I was inspired to write my novel, Fire Conditions.
All my life I wanted to write stories but with a family to raise, Shelly, my wife and I had to work; she as a nurse and educator with a doctorate, and me in administration at the Medical College of Wisconsin and at the University of Southern California.
I received a master’s degree in creative writing at the UW-Milwaukee Department of English and attended summer workshops at the University of Iowa. Along the way we’ve raised three wonderful children.
