Bio
My first book, "Student, Sailor, Skipper, Survivor - How WWII Transformed the Lives of Ordinary Americans" was published on March 3, 2020. In it, I use my late father's journal as a framework to explore the lived experiences of millions of young men who left home to cross the globe to fight for democracy. You can purchase the book on Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com.
I've also been published in "Family Stories from the Attic" (2017) and "Creative Wisconsin" (2017 & 2019). My first place Jade Ring entry for non-fiction was also published in "Wisconsin People and Ideas" (2019) My essay "Once Haunted, Now Resolved" earned an Honorable Mention in the Jade Ring 2020 contest.
