Bio
Patricia Skalka is the award-winning author of the Dave Cubiak Door County mysteries, including the latest Death Casts a Shadow. She is the winner of both the Midwest Book Award for Mystery and the Edna Ferber Literary Book Award. In an article that featured one book to represent each of the 50 states, USA Today chose Death Stalks Door County, the first in her series, as Wisconsin's book.
Before turning to fiction, Skalka was a Staff Writer for Reader’s Digest and wrote for other national print and online publications. She presents Author Talks and Writing Workshops throughout the region.
