Bio
Tad Phippen Wente, Port Washington, earned a M.A. in Creative Writing/English from UWM and gains motivation from Iowa’s Summer Writing Festival. She explores connections between child and adult observers negotiating experiences while rarely recognizing the strange mirror on which they dance. Various publications include Wisconsin Poets' Calendar 2023; Responding: A Conversation in Color; From Everywhere a Little: A Migration Anthology; and Lunch on the Moon. She experiments with poetry, fiction, memoir, hybrid, and is a member of Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets. Tad taught high school English, Journalism, and Creative Writing for 40 years, advised student publications, and helped found Étude High School, where teachers are like artists-in-residence.
