In her second novel in the Dana Demeter Mystery Series, author A.F. Whitehouse has artfully crafted a subtly complex blend of whodunit and flawed characters to create a page-turning delight for the reader and mystery lover. Whitehouse builds tension with her main character, Dana Demeter, on the first page, and continues building it throughout the book as Demeter takes us through her leads and dead-ends to a stunning climax. Readers will find themselves cheering when Dana has unearthed a clue, and frustrated when others don't believe she is on the right track in identifying the culprit. Demeter not only has to fight those who don't find her credible, she has to overcome her own flaws. Whitehouse cleverly ties up this story, but tempts us to find out what Demeter's next adventure will be.
