Nancy Jesse has written fiction, nonfiction and poetry that have been published in Wisconsin People and Ideas, Midwest Prairie Review, Verse Wisconsin, and Creative Wisconsin. She is a member of the Wisconsin Writers Association and the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets. During her thirty-year teaching career at West High School in Madison, Wisconsin, she developed an interest in creative writing, studying with the novelist Elizabeth Jolley during a sabbatical in Perth, Australia. She grew up on a dairy farm in northwestern Wisconsin and studied English at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She now lives in Madison with her husband, Paul.
