Active practicing poet, has seven chapbooks published, served as president of Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets, currently a board member, and serves in a liaison role with other state writing organizations. In November, 2016, was nominated for the Pushcart Prize by acclaimed Wisconsin and nationally recognized poet, Antler. Distinguished thirty-four year career as secondary teacher of literature; twice given Congressional citation for teaching excellence, served two three-year terms with Scholastic Magazine on national advisory board for periodical, Literary Cavalcade. Created and broadcast a fiber-optic, interactive television course for secondary students passionate about poetry. Arranged readings for Brooks, Giovanni, Olds and Collins.
