Kate J. Thompson grew up in southern Wisconsin and graduated from UWM. She now makes her home on Manitoulin Island, Canada. She has taught English and loves facilitating writing workshops. Her first book, It’s So Hard to Love You, co-authored with brother Bill Klatte, was translated into two languages. Three other books, Native adult literacy curriculum, short stories, articles, essays and poetry have been published in Canada and the U.S. Kate recently finished her first novel. While she waits for an agent to fall in love with it, she works on other fiction, non-fiction and a children’s book.
