John J. Mutter, Jr. was born in Racine, WI but lived most of his life in Shawano County. He has been writing for most of his life, getting his first story published when he was eleven. He has traveled around the world in the Navy and Merchant Marines. He has self-published three books, the most recent being his autobiography, No Time to Count. He’s been published in newspapers, magazines, historical journals, and anthologies; and through his writing he’s become known as a storyteller, activist, environmentalist, historian, speaker, a trophy winning pool player, outdoorsman, biographer and an award winning writer.
