In my seventh grade year, Seattle was struck with a freak blizzard depositing over 18 inches of snow and dropping temperatures to single digits. For a class project I wrote an essay about the storm. My teacher raved about it and encouraged me to write more, so I did, so I have ever since. Writing experience includes four years as a field editor for Our Wisconsin magazine, monthly column for the Wisconsin Society of Ornithology, published nature articles for Subaru Drive magazine (Life styles section); media publications, tourism pieces, newspaper articles, author event promotions and press releases.
